Halle Berry And Hubby, Olivier Martinez Named Their Son

It is no news that Halle Berry had delivered her latest bundle of joy at Cedars Sinai Hospital, where countless celebrity children have been born over the years.This is the second child for the 47-year-old Die Another Day star.

As for the first-time dad, the Parisian S.W.A.T. actor told People: 'My son will remain an American, but I will remain French,' he explained. 'I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture.' Berry and Martinez were married in a stunning ceremony in Vallery, France, in July where she wore a beautiful Jenny Packham gown.

On Monday the name of their son, born Saturday in Los Angeles, was leaked and it's rather unusual. The couple have chosen Maceo as the first name for their child and the name translates to Gift Of God. It's easy to figure out how Halle landed on that name because she several times said her pregnancy was a 'miracle.'

A Father's Love For His Daughter Is Forever Strong

I decided to share this as most people do not appreciate the words of wisdom that pours out from their dad. However some will say they never had the time to know their dad, probably due to demise or the dad just wasn't in the picture.

For we daughters, we have a special place in our dad's heart and sometimes we fail to reciprocate the love he has for us for we seem to think that a mother's love super-cede that of a father's love. But that is not true as a father's love is more of protection, which sometimes could be overbearing but that is them trying to look out for their beloved daughter.

I for one know what it means to have a father who believes in you and ready to support you in every area of your life and i try to always get him something whenever i go visiting. They will appreciate it no matter how small the gift is cos it shows you have them in mind.

I got this excerpt below from a lady who went on a date with her dad and learnt three major life lessons which we may think is nothing new but if we try to ponder really well on it, could make a big impact in our life..

Recently, I went on a father-daughter date with one of the funniest, handsomest and greatest men of all times–my dad Richard Elliot Hopson. I received two tickets to the Tony Award®-winning Broadway play The Lion King and asked him if he was free on Friday.

Ever since I could remember, my father and I got along almost perfectly. I think it’s in part due to the fact that I am my mother’s twin, even though she hates to admit it. So, our personalities mesh together like peanut butter and jelly–the ingredients to one of my favorite songs my parents sang to me as a child.

This night, I learned a lot about love. My dad didn’t sing Barry White or recite a poem. He just, well, acted like my dad. Although he previously taught me some of the life lessons, our time together reinforced the words of wisdom he shared over the years.

Here are the three things I learned:

Give & Take
For decades, my dad has picked up the tab for dinners, movies and even vacations. When I added more years and more money to my life, I returned the favor. But still, it was an uneven exchange. He’s old school and is a big believer of a man providing for a woman.
If I asked him what dutch meant, he would probably think I was referring to the natives of the Netherlands. However, on this night, I was able to treat him to a night out on the town. Watching his face light up at the magic of Disney unfolding on the stage before us made me remember that often it feels even better to give than to receive.

Show Gratitude
Just because my dad doesn’t think a woman should foot the bill on a regular basis, he does think the woman should give gratitude to the person taking her out on a date. Perhaps she offers to pay for parking or tip the waiter. Or maybe her gratitude comes in the form of words and gestures of appreciation.
This night, my father thanked me in all three! He dropped me off at the door while he parked the car. He bought me a bag over overpriced pecans. And he couldn’t stop bragging to everyone how his little girl took him to see The Lion King, because her blog is gaining a ton of attention. He reminded me to appreciate men more when they take time out to plan an enchanted evening.

Accept People For Who They Are
On the way to the theater, I complained in the car about someone who shall remain nameless. My father, whose motto is to accept people for who they are and to change how you deal with them because they may never change, listened to me vent. He laughed and made a funny comment about the person’s behavior, which made me smile.
But although he agreed with what I had said, he didn’t understand why I went on and on about something that was out of my control. He reminded me that when you love someone, at times, you must tolerate their imperfections and respect their opinions–no matter how absurd.

So from this, what has father's love taught you...do you think they need to be given a high-five, and what peculiar thing has your dad taught you? My dad will always say that anything worth doing is worth doing well and strive to be the best where ever you find yourself. Also you are not competing with anybody, do your best and let God do the rest.

 So  if you haven't appreciated your dad as a daughter, it is never too late to pick up the phone and get across to him.

Trouble In The Kardashian Home

Seems trouble is always brewing in the Kardashian home or maybe it is part of their reality show. No one seems to know which part of their life is real or staged as they are capable of doing anything just for rating.


There seem to be a new Kardashian war going on between Kim and Khloe. It has been reported on Wednesday that Kim is demanding her little sister divorce Lamar Odom, who visited Khloe at their Tarzana house on Tuesday.

'Khloe was at momager Kris Jenner‘s house, and Kim just lit into her about how much Lamar was hurting their bottom line and creating so much negative publicity,'. Obviously 'Kim can’t understand why Khloe hasn’t dumped Lamar because he is showing absolutely no desire to go to rehab,' adds the source.

The article states that Khloe 'was left in tears' after Kim gave Khloe an 'ultimatum' to drop the NBA star or else. The fight happened just before Kim took off for Paris to attend several fashion events with her baby daddy Kanye West while their child North stayed at home.

So Kim now feels she is in the right position to give marital advice, when she is not even capable of holding a relationship let alone maarrige? Am not even surprised she asked Khloe to divorce Lamar, after all she pulled off from her previous marriage just after 72 days. And now being with Kanye, she thinks she is the master. Well it seems is not only Khloe that is considering divorcing her husband, lately the Momager, Kris Jenner has being rumoured to be thinking of divorcing Bruce Jenner, her husband and father of Kendall and Kylie. However, Kris Jenner sister, Karen Houghton has told InTouch that Bruce has sought out a lawyer with the purpose of engaging Kris in a million dollar divorce battle.

As if that is not enough, Kris sister also made known the fact that  she heard Kris has displayed some very questionable behavior, namely getting drunk and flirting with Scott Disick and Lamar Odom, both men in relationships in with her daughters.

Hmm... something is really wrong somewhere...

Meet The Young Lady That Lost Her Leg While Looking For DASH Store Owned By The Kardashians

If you are a fan of Dr. Oz, then am sure you didn't missed the last show, but for those that missed it let me enlighten you. Dr. Oz's guest for the last episode was Siân Green, the woman who lost her leg after an out-of-control taxi cab jumped the curb and hit her in New York a few months ago.

After being discharged from the hospital the night before, the British tourist reunited with Oz under better circumstances. They met initially when the doctor ran from his office to the scene to help, and joining them at this happy reunion was Dave Justino, the plumber who used his belt as a tourniquet to stop Green's bleeding.

"I just, I, I, the appreciation and I just, oh, thank you," an emotional Green told Justino. In reply, Justino said, "You don't have to say thank you," Justino told her. "I tried. I wasn't even thinking…I just saw you there and the only thing I had was my belt and that's what I needed."

Green revealed that before the tragic accident, she and her best friend were excited to go to the Dash store in the Big Apple to purchase some tops.

"We decided to try and look for Dash, the Kardashian's store, and we were just walking. Because we're huge fans, so we were like ‘Yes, we get to go to Dash! We get to see the store. They've been there. They've walked the floor.' And we just wanted to do that. We just wanted to get Dash t-shirts."

According to the New York Daily News, the young Brit was strolling the streets of NYC during her vacation in August, and had just grabbed a hot dog from a street vendor with a friend when she was hit by the cab.

"Her left leg was severed off, the other was mangled," Justino told the paper. "She was conscious the whole time, the poor thing...I wish she would have passed out."

After being admitted to the hospital, doctors told Green that they would have to amputate her leg. Despite getting the unfortunate news, she's remained optimistic about the entire situation.

"Even still now, I still get those days where I'm not as happy, not as smiley, but I still do smile. But it's just in the back of my mind, like I'm 24 years old and this happened to me with my bestest friend walking and enjoying life and that's why you shouldn't take anything for granted, because it can be gone like that," she said.

"I've got my life. I can be with my family and friends. I can go back to school. I can go back to work. I can enjoy my life, my boyfriend and my dogs. I've got too much to look forward to."

So pathetic, however i love her optimistic approach to life...wish you the very best girlfriend..*smiles*
