Three has been confirmed dead due to collapsed building in Abuja

An uncompleted two-storey building collapsed yesterday in Dutse Alhaji, in Abuja. the building until yesterday, accommodated not less than 50 artisans such as motor cyclists, water vendors and refuse disposal boys, as confirmed by Mr Ahmed Tijani, a resident of that area. He also confirmed that the building has been abandoned without maintenance for years and also said that the building gave the usually initial cracking and some people that noticed it fled for their lives while others where unfortunate leading to serious casualties.

So far, three(3) people have been confirmed dead while nine(9) critically injured and Mr Yushau Shuaib, Public Relations Officer of the National Emergency Maintenance Agency NEMA has confirmed the incident and casualties figures.

Also Mr Peter Yohanna, Chairman of Bwari Area Council has confirmed that #200,000 has been approved for the treatment of the injured persons. I do hope the money is enough sha and may the souls of the departed rest in peace Amen.
