Malachi drumming journey started early in life, he has always loved banging on anything, and his parents observing that in him decided to give him his first drumming kit. At age 4, Malachi was admitted to Mark Murphy's School of Music in New Jersey and a year later, Malachi performed on a stage.

Fellow drummers do not see Malachi as a kid, rather as a professional. Grammy award jazz pianist, Preston Vismala says when he plays with Malachi, he forgets that he is just a child.
To be honest, sometimes i think am playing with a grown man. I play and I look up and go, "He is a kid".
Another professional jazz player, Roy Woodsen describes Malachi as "10 jazz musicians wrapped up in one little body and swinging like an old soul".

Giving back: Malachi says he would like to learn how to play the piano, violin and saxophone, and pass on his knowledge to other young people

This is so inspiring. This is a clear case of parents recognising their child potential early in time, believing in him and allowing him fulfils his dreams and also encouraging him in the process.
