Professor Okonjo 82, mother of Nigeria's finance minister who was kidnapped on Sunday 9th December, 2012 from her residence at Ogbe-ofu quarters in Ogwashi-ukwu, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, has been freed five days after her kidnap.
Her release was confirmed by the King's Spokeman, Chief Oko. Meanwhile, police in Delta State are not aware of the release, thus signalling that this action was carried out outside the operatives of the police.
