Like the saying,"Its only you that is wearing the shoe that knows where it hurts". Angelina Jolie, the wonderful and bold actress has been subjected to the public eye due to her weight loss that no one knew the cause of.

However, the actress has come up to say that she had a preventative double masectomy after discovering that she is a carrier of the BRCA1 gene. She made the decision to have the three months procedures after been told that she has 87% chance of contracting breast cancer.

The brave lady is getting set for her next surgery which is the removal of both her ovaries, as the gene means she has 50% chance of developing ovarian cancer.

What amaze me most about this, is the fact that she carried herself so well that no one could detect what was going on especially the three month period when she was undergoing the procedures, she was working and going about her normal activities and not getting depressed.

She had to make this decision early enough after bearing to lose her mother who died after battling ovarian cancer for eight years.

 Obviously she felt she need to be there for her kids who are still little, she didn't think about herself, rather her family were paramount.

Her hubby, Brad Pitt stood by her side all through the ordeal and her fans are hoping that they will tie the knot pretty fast.

                                       

Even her dad was astonished, as he only got wind of his daughter's double masectomy online, despite seeing her two days prior to when she came out openly about the procedure.
