Nick had to break up the relationship because according to him Kim lied about her "infamous sex tape" and couldn't forgive her for the existence of the sex tape. Although to him, Kim is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
However, Nick admitted that if Kim had opened up to him, just maybe he would have let go, after all the tape was made before they met. Well Kim isn't concerned about that, because she is now a successful business woman and a high class hollywood celebrity, all she achieved from the infamous sex tape.
Well both parties have clearly moved on, Kim is presently dating rapper Kanye West who is so obsessed about the sex tape, while Nick Cannon is happily married to Mariah Carey and they have twins.
